Proceso de la implementación de la televisión digital en el Ecuador

Abstract

This paper deals with the analysis of the migration process that Ecuador is establishing to implement digital terrestrial television, how it has been developed by the different actors involved in this challenge of national importance, and the decisions being taken by State institutions responsible for defining this transition based on what other countries have already experienced, and are willing to advice national officers on the process of changing from analog TV to digital, with maximum success. Another important actor is the television station itself; it is necessary to detailed the level of preparedness in which every station is now and how they think they are going to meet this process. Finally, users have to prepare themselves to receive digital signal through appropriate means.
