Estudio de factibilidad, diseño del sistema y planificación para la implementación de ESPOL-tv en la ciudad de Guayaquil, con puntos de retransmisión en la provincia de Santa Elena y el cantón playas

Abstract

The following paper describes the necessary process to expand ESPOL-TV coverage. Currently, only the province of Santa Elena has coverage, and because of the great reception it has and the desire to overcome from the executives, comes an ambitious growth opportunity to the cantons of Guayaquil and Playas. Specifically, what we want to do is to transfer ESPOL-TV headquarters from Santa Elena to Guayaquil, keeping the current coverage and adding to it the new location and the city of Playas. In order to achieve this goal, it is essential to abide the Constitution. It is required a fiber optic link between the main studio and the hill from where the signal will be transmitted in Guayaquil. Also, a link that takes the signal from the studio to the rebroadcast points in Santa Elena and Playas, the same that is done with fiber optics. In addition, it has to be done an analysis of the features of the new headquarters and the new transmission points, so it is required a redeployment of the existing equipment to only purchase equipment that is strictly needed.
