Abstract

xDSL technologies have enabled the companies responsible for providing telephony that have networks of copper with adequate infrastructure, provide broadband services such as the transfer of voice, data and video at high speed through applications of convergence of telecommunication networks and services. Our thesis is aimed to contribute with technical solutions and design for the implementation of ADSL technology in order to take advantage of the existing copper network and that represent a better choice in choosing voice and data services. Prior to the study was selected to the estate Lake Capeira as strategic area to develop the project under its recent welcome social and economic benefit that gets the city of Guayaquil, which makes it an attractive sector to provide broadband services. This access network using fiber optic to the telephone exchange is located where the equipment of the ALCATEL 7330 DSLAM, from which depart the copper lines to each of the users which the result of the optimization of the network on the basis of our study, are mostly residential demonstrates technical and economic level be appropriate and efficient for the implementation by the telephone operator to provide voice and data above the copper network, and this to be scalable in the event of imminent population growth.
