| Abstract: | El proyecto se realizó como respuesta a la necesidad urgente de obtener comunicación, información veraz y gestionar recursos económicos con ONGs y empresa privada, en comunidades ancestrales del estuario interior del Golfo de Guayaquil, debido a la situación actual provocada por la pandemia del SARS-CoV2 y las medidas de distanciamiento social. La asistencia técnica presencial brindada por ESPOL desde el año 2017, hacía tres comunidades de ¨Manglares Don Goyo¨, se interrumpió por lo que se tuvo que adaptar hacia nuevas formas de comunicación. Se implementó un sistema de comunicación con la ayuda de plataformas digitales, en la que las ONG´s, dirigentes de las comunidades y ESPOL pudieron estar constantemente comunicados. Para esto se creó por medio de la aplicación WhatsApp un grupo llamado ¨Piloto Comunicación Golfo¨ que permitió compartir y recopilar información, organizar reuniones sincrónicas mensuales mediante la plataforma ZOOM, donde, se informaba sobre las actividades que se estaban llevando a cabo dentro y fuera de las comunidades. También, por este medio, se impartieron clases de apoyo académico sobre temas de matemáticas, lenguaje y entorno natural a los niños de la comunidad Bellavista. Las encuestas realizadas a las comunidades demostraron que la aplicación WhatsApp es un medio efectivo para compartir información y que el 75% de los participantes desean continuar con el sistema de comunicación ya que permite intercambiar en tiempo real la información. Además, se encontró que el 12%, 35% y 36% de la comunidad Bellavista, Cerrito De Los Morreños y Puerto Libertad, respectivamente, tiene acceso a internet pagado. Por lo tanto, para la efectividad del proyecto esta circunstancia fue un factor limitante. |
| metadata.dc.description.abstractenglish: | The project was carried out in response to the urgent need to obtain communication, accurate information and manage economic resources with NGOs and private companies, in ancestral communities of the inner estuary of the Gulf of Guayaquil, due to the current situation caused by the SARS-CoV2 pandemic and social distancing measures. The face-to-face technical assistance provided by ESPOL since 2017 to three communities of "Manglares Don Goyo" was interrupted and had to be adapted to new forms of communication. A communication system was implemented with the help of digital platforms, in which NGOs, community leaders and ESPOL were able to be constantly in communication. For this, a group called "Piloto Comunicación Golfo" was created through the WhatsApp application that allowed sharing and collecting information, organizing monthly synchronous meetings through the ZOOM platform, where information was reported on the activities that were being carried out inside and outside the communities. Also, through this medium, academic support classes on mathematics, language and natural environment were given to children in the Bellavista community. The surveys carried out in the communities showed that the WhatsApp application is an effective means of sharing information and that 75% of the participants wish to continue with the communication system since it allows the exchange of information in real time. In addition, it was found that 12%, 35% and 36% of the Bellavista, Cerrito De Los Morreños and Puerto Libertad communities, respectively, have paid access to the Internet. Therefore, this circumstance was a limiting factor for the effectiveness of the project. |
