Resumen:
This thesis development the design, calculation, installation and service implementation for sprinkler irrigation
system in a 50 hectares oil palm crop (Eleais guineensis). The cultivation is located in Cerecita commune of Gomez
Rendon parish in the Guayas province. For the working execution exposed here, was necessary review the scientific
literature for the factor involved with the crop, like water requirements, climate, plant variety and soil kind. The
agronomic design was done calculating the maximum crop evapotranspiration, irrigation requirements and its
duration. Hydraulic and graphic design determined the irrigation sector and blocks, pipe sizing, valves, and features of
the pumping unit. In the same way for the pipe and pump calculation and before the selection was necessary to take
into accounting the different hydraulic parameter that determined the result and the definitive quality of the designed
and build system. Finally, is calculated the project costs including materials, installation, implementation, maintenance
and facilities operation.
