Ciudad digital: Diseño de redes wi-fi para la ciudad de Guayaquil

Abstract

The WI-FI networks are designed to work in the frequency range of unlicensed bands, this allows to reduce costs in contrast to those in cellular systems, if it is required to design a Wi-Fi network in a metropolitan area. Based on this technology authorities of the city of Guayaquil have decided to turn the city into a DIGITAL CITY. The purpose of which is to cover most of the city with WI-FI points, about 6000 points distributed in different areas of the city making possible that any passer to connect and enjoy the service which the municipality has decided is free for a period of time. The completion of this work has as main objective presenting a design of a WI-FI network for the city of Guayaquil under the demands of the town you are interested in, and making a significant investment, if feasible, allowing free connection by performing the respective technical analysis (Coverage segmentation Network, Bandwidth), regulatory, statistical and economic that allows internet users, citizens of the Pearl of the Pacific and take a big step as they are doing other cities.
