dc.description.abstract The objective of this topic is to apply the acquired knowledge, to realize the analysis, design of structural elements using High Performance Concrete (HPC) and to compare them with structural elements designed with Conventional Concretes to support the same conditions of load. The High Performance Concrete (HPC) is an innovative material, that promises important applications in the industry of special structures of great spans (as it is on Bridges) and also on Architectonic Concretes. This new material has developed compressive and tensile strenghts, as well as it has exhibited exceptional characteristics of durability, limited porosity, virtually impermeable, very low retraction, limited plastic flow and high resistance to corrosion. For the development of this work it will be design two structural elements, which are the most critical of two buildings of six floors, subjected to the same conditions of load, the first building is designed with a concrete that has a compressive strenght of 30 MPa and the second with a concrete that has a compressive strength of 73.5 MPa. Dosifications for each type of concrete will be realized, and with it, the necessary calculations for the selection of the most optimal elements sections, analyzing possible costs and alternatives. en
