dc.description.abstract The objective of this project is the automation of a system manual handling of boxes in a line of storage within the plant. The current system of handling involves many repetitive jobs in operations, development of physical fatigue and injuries like back injury problems for operators. This work focuses on designing a handling system that involves the company to efficiently manufacture, which involves a number of factors such as low cost of machinery, quality components, economy, fast results, availability and more important to protect the health and integrity of each of the operators. For handling the new design used a selection tool, the computer program xDKI which is a systematic and expeditious manner products and services such as engineering, supply chain, assembly, operation and technical assistance. The results expected by this automation system are: elimination of physical fatigue and injuries to workers, increasing production, reducing costs and generating new forms of automation in the industrial sector through this new projects design system through the assistance of a computer. en
