Abstract:
This project shows the application of genetic algorithms to an optimization problem of distribution of
products. The optimization problem and the theory of genetic algorithms are exposed briefly and they are
the base in the resolution of problem of distribution of products to the distinct branches of the company
from its storages. The resolution to this problem is support in the use of software that permits to watch
step by step the process of optimization using genetic algorithms. The concepts exposed at the beginning
of this project can be better learnt with the use of software that includes both graphical and numerical
results.
Generally speaking, readers who are interested in this topic can find that this work can be a useful
beginning of other studies.
