Abstract:
The company under study, seeking to improve the performance of their processes and to gain an advantage over
the other competitors, decided to implement a Quality Management System based on ISO 9001:2008, an
international standard that gives guidance for continuous improvement and standardization of internal
processes to all types of organizations. For this project, was developed a review of the concepts of a Quality
Management System (QMS), a diagnosis of the current situation of the company, was determinated the
compliance rate for all the clauses of the Standard and a SWOT analysis. The Design of the Quality
Management System for the company was prepared according to the needs of the company and having a focus
on the eight principles of quality.
