dc.description.abstract | The project aims to study the improvement of the oil production at Tetete field by drilling new production wells in the lower “U” sand. Based on seismic data, well log analysis, previous analysis and historical production data, a three-dimensional model of the reservoir was created using the software Flogrid (static model) and the software Eclipse Office (dynamic model). After verifying that the model created reflected the behavior of field production from the beginning of the operation in 1984 to the current date (June 2010), there was performed a production forecast to June 2025. In the stage of forecast, and considering the petrophysical variables of the model, the location and the appropriate number of wells to be drilled to improve the production of this field were determinate, establishing a relationship between the variables mentioned above and the additional oil production could be obtained, but also taking into account that the water cut does not exceed the economical limit. | en |
