Modernización del centro de mantenimiento electrónico nivel III

Abstract

Ecuadorian Navy founded the electronic maintenance center “NIVEL III at 1997 in order to contribute to the maintenance of the electronic systems of the Naval Depends. This center is able to diagnose, and repair electronic boards and electronic modules of analog, digital and radio-frequency technology. In the last years, there were external and internal factors, which affected its productivity, reflected in the increase time required to repair of the electronic boards, the main causes of this problem were: the obsolescent of spares, the older of the electronic equipments and the limited experience of the technicians to work with SMC. To overcome these weakness and after of the analyzing process, the Ecuadorian Navy effected a modernization project, which focused on the following aspects: the replacement of equipment for each of these of laboratories, the increase of infrastructure, the implementation of new laboratories and the training of human talent to acquire new skills and strengthen the existing skills. At the end of the project, Nivel III, reached the capability to diagnose, repair and manufacture electronic cards with THT and SMC components.
