| dc.description | La ciudad de Guayaquil, con su amplia riqueza histórica y arquitectónica, alberga un conjunto de iglesias patrimoniales que son testimonio de la cultura y religión en Ecuador. Estos sitios emblemáticos, además de su valor espiritual, poseen un potencial turístico significativo que aún no ha sido completamente aprovechado. Este proyecto tiene como propósito promover el turismo cultural en la ciudad, al brindar a los visitantes y residentes nuevas experiencias turísticas más auténticas, gratificantes y educativas. Por esta razón, se desarrolló un sistema de orientación y una guía turística bilingüe de las iglesias patrimoniales del centro de Guayaquil. Para llevar a cabo este proyecto, se empleó el método etnográfico que nos permitió conocer las necesidades de los visitantes en cuanto a la orientación y guía en su estadía en Guayaquil. En cuanto a los resultados del proyecto, se obtuvo gran aceptación por parte del público objetivo, destacando el diseño, el contenido y la vivencia turística resultado de la utilización de las herramientas visuales mencionadas. El proyecto representa un paso significativo hacia la conservación y valorización del patrimonio cultural de Guayaquil. A partir de ello, se espera despertar un mayor interés por parte de extranjeros y residentes, en la historia y la cultura de la ciudad, contribuyendo así a su preservación a lo largo del tiempo para futuras generaciones. | - |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | Guayaquil city, with its vast historical and architectural wealth, is home to a set of heritage churches that are testimony to the culture and religion in Ecuador. These emblematic sites, in addition to their spiritual value, have significant tourism potential that has not yet been fully exploited. This project aims to promote cultural tourism in the city, by providing visitors and residents with new, more authentic, rewarding, and educational tourist experiences. For this reason, a wayfinding system and a bilingual tourist guide of the heritage churches of Guayaquil were developed. To carry out this project, the ethnographic method was used, which allowed us to know the needs of visitors in terms of orientation and guidance during their stay in Guayaquil. Regarding the project results, great acceptance was obtained by the target audience, highlighting the design, content and tourist experience resulting from the use of the visual tools mentioned before. The project represents a significant step towards the conservation and appreciation of Guayaquil's cultural heritage. From this, it is expected to arouse greater interest on the part of foreigners and residents in the history and culture of the city, thus contributing to its preservation over time for future generations. | - |
