Description:	En la provincia del Guayas, diversas comunidades muestran interés en participar en la actividad turística, sin embargo, reconocen que no poseen herramientas o conocimientos técnicos relacionados con los componentes que interactúan en un sistema turístico. Esto conlleva a la pérdida de oportunidades laborales, la falta de diversificación económica y la amenaza de la preservación de los recursos naturales y culturales. El objetivo de este proyecto es diseñar una herramienta de autoevaluación del potencial turístico de las comunidades de la provincia del Guayas, que empodere a los residentes para tomar decisiones informadas que promuevan un desarrollo turístico sostenible en beneficio de su comunidad; y promover una recopilación sistemática de información para una mejor planificación turística en la provincia. Para lograr este objetivo, se utilizaron varias metodologías que brindaron una visión integral de las percepciones, necesidades y desafíos, sobre el turismo, de los actores involucrados. La propuesta es una plataforma accesible, ilustrativa e intuitiva, que busca simplificar el proceso de evaluación del potencial turístico de las comunidades antes de buscar inversión externa, a través del análisis de su sistema turístico. Además, se resalta la adaptabilidad de la herramienta, su capacidad offline y la garantía de preservación de datos a lo largo del tiempo. Este trabajo de investigación concluye con sugerencias que abogan la implementación exitosa de esta herramienta turística, resaltando su impacto trasformador en la gestión y planificación del turismo en la provincia del Guayas. metadata.dc.description.abstractenglish:	In the province of Guayas, various communities show interest in participating in tourism, however, they recognize that they do not have tools or technical knowledge related to the components that interact in a tourism system. This leads to the loss of job opportunities, the lack of economic diversification and the threat to the preservation of natural and cultural resources. The objective of this project is to design a self-evaluation tool for the tourism potential of the communities in the province of Guayas, which empowers residents to take informed decisions that promote sustainable tourism development for the benefit of their community; and promote a systematic collection of information for better tourism planning in the province. To achieve this objective, several methodologies were used that provided a comprehensive vision of the perceptions, needs and challenges, regarding tourism, of the actors involved. The proposal is an accessible, illustrative, and intuitive platform, which seeks to simplify the process of evaluating the tourism potential of communities before asking for external investment, through the analysis of their tourism system. In addition, the adaptability of the tool, its offline capacity, and the guarantee of data preservation over time are highlighted. This research work concludes with suggestions that advocate the successful implementation of this tourism tool, highlighting its transformative impact on the management and planning of tourism in the province of Guayas.
