Description:	Este estudio analiza los determinantes del desempleo femenino en Ecuador a través de un modelo econométrico logit. Sus objetivos son identificar los factores que contribuyen al desempleo entre las mujeres y evaluar la relación y probabilidad de influencia de variables como edad, etnia, nivel educacional y estado civil. La hipótesis plantea que estas variables influyen significativamente en el desempleo femenino. El proyecto se justifica por la necesidad de entender mejor las causas del desempleo femenino para mejorar la situación laboral de las mujeres. Se utilizaron datos del año 2023 de la Encuesta Nacional de Empleo, Desempleo y Subempleo (ENEMDU), empleando un modelo logit para identificar las relaciones entre las variables. Los resultados muestran que las mujeres jóvenes, con menor nivel educacional, y que viven en zonas urbanas, tienen una mayor probabilidad de estar desempleadas. Además, se evidenció que la etnia y el estado civil también influyen en el desempleo femenino. Se concluye que es esencial considerar estos factores para desarrollar estrategias que reduzcan el desempleo femenino en Ecuador como, por ejemplo, implementar políticas que promuevan la inclusión laboral de las mujeres en minoría étnica, y fomentar el apoyo económico para el acceso a becas de educación superior. metadata.dc.description.abstractenglish:	This study analyzes the determinants of female unemployment in Ecuador through a logit econometric model. Its goal is to identify the factors that contribute to unemployment among women and to evaluate the relationship and probability of the influence of variables such as age, ethnicity, educational level and marital status. The hypothesis is that these variables have a significant influence on female unemployment. The project is justified by the need to better understand the causes of female unemployment in order to improve the employment situation of women. Data for the year 2023 from the National Survey of Employment, Unemployment and Underemployment (ENEMDU) were used, utilizing a logit model to identify the relationships between variables. The results show that young and less educated women living in urban areas have a higher probability of being unemployed. In addition, it was found that ethnicity and marital status also influence female unemployment. As a conclusion the study shows that it is essential to consider these factors in order to develop strategies to reduce female unemployment in Ecuador, such as implementing policies that promote the inclusion of ethnic minority women in the labor market and encouraging economic support for access to higher education scholarships.
