dc.descriptionEste proyecto consistió en la restauración de una camioneta Chevrolet Luv que en su momento se quiso desechar. El Centro de Desarrollo Tecnológico y Sustentable de ESPOL cuenta con diferentes equipos que pueden ser rehabilitados con fines educativos. La camioneta necesitó limpieza en el tanque, así como también de los inyectores. Se reemplazó el aceite en la caja de cambios y el diferencial (Corona) para evitar daños por desgaste. En el sistema de freno se reemplazó las pastillas delanteras y zapatas posteriores. El sistema de dirección, se realizó los ajustes correspondientes y se cambió el fluido del hidráulico de esta manera se obtendrá un mejor cuidado de los componentes. El proyecto destaca la importancia del mantenimiento periódico para evitar la acumulación de problemas que comprometen la operatividad y seguridad del vehículo. También permitió analizar la planificación adecuada y enfoque de prioridades pueden rescatar un activo en desuso y prolongar su vida útil. Este proceso no solo representó un logro técnico, sino también una lección sobre la importancia de cuidar y conservar los recursos disponibles para garantizar su funcionalidad en el tiempo. dc.description.abstractenglishThis project consisted of the restoration of a Chevrolet Luv truck that at the time was wanted to be discarded. ESPOL's Technological and Sustainable Development Center has different equipment that can be rehabilitated for educational purposes. The truck needed cleaning of the tank, as well as the injectors. The oil in the gearbox and differential (Crown) was replaced to prevent wear damage. In the brake system, the front pads and rear shoes were replaced. The steering system, the corresponding adjustments were made and the hydraulic fluid was changed in this way, better care of the components will be obtained. The project highlights the importance of periodic maintenance to avoid the accumulation of problems that compromise the operation and safety of the vehicle. It also allowed us to analyze the appropriate planning and priority approach that can rescue a disused asset and prolong its useful life. This process not only represented a technical achievement, but also a lesson about the importance of caring for and conserving available resources to guarantee their functionality over time.
