dc.description.abstract | This seminar graduation thesis is based on the design of a piece of the road “Bajada de Chanduy - Aguas Verdes – Pocito” using synthetic net materials that improve the structural capacity of a pavement. The mentioned piece of road starts from the abscissa 2+900 to the 3+600 and presents a low support capacity for which is necessary the use of the geosynthetic net. Primarily it is shown the AASHTO design methodology for pavements in order to compare the design thickness obtained by this procedure and the thickness obtained using the synthetic material. In doing this, we demonstrate the advantages that the synthetic net offers in consideration of material quantities, transportation and construction time which are translated to a cheaper pavement with the same properties of the conventional design. | en |
