Abstract:
Este proyecto audiovisual es un cortometraje documental que muestra
cronológicamente los eventos que tienen lugar la noche del fin de año, específicamente
en Salinas, una ciudad ubicada en la provincia de Santa Elena, Ecuador. El objetivo
de este proyecto es crear conciencia sobre el otro lado de este festival tradicional al
final del año, mostrando de manera real los comportamientos excesivos y el consumo
desmedido de los participantes en esta celebración y cómo afecta el medio ambiente.
En la realización de este cortometraje, se llevó a cabo un proceso de investigación
antropológica, así como entrevistas a todos los involucrados en este ritual, desde
servidores públicos del municipio hasta el personal del Departamento de Bomberos
para recopilar datos relevantes, protocolos y también conocer las medidas que se
implementan como contingencia en dicha celebración.
El resultado de esta investigación audiovisual muestra que el esfuerzo realizado por
las autoridades, por sí solo, no es suficiente para controlar y prevenir la contaminación
causada en este feriado, y que el daño producido al lugar y a sus habitantes aumenta
cada año.
Para resolver el problema, se requiere la concientización y la colaboración de toda la
comunidad local y de los turistas, para que la fiesta de fin de año no cause daños
irreversibles al medio ambiente de uno de los lugares turísticos más importantes de
Ecuador.
