Abstract

This project was developed due to a client´s necessity of a technological tool which automatizes their most critical processes in their logistics department. The client administered the storage processes manually, didn´t register the products when were stored in free positions; the operators, when did internal movements of their products, allocated them in places they considered convenient, not maximizing the space use, high density of products in the same space and wasting the free space of further areas. The proposal, designed to the client based on their requirements and needs, was the presentation of an automation project of the critical processes of the logistics area. It included processes from the product reception, storage collocation, internal movements, to the stored product delivery. The “Storage management System: Web and Mobile Application” lets the users know about real and online inventory at the moment of doing receptions, movements and products delivery. As a result, the operator´s work is simpler and more efficient during the identification of the product.
