DISEÑO Y SIMULACIÓN DE UNA RED WRAN PARA ZONAS RURALES DE LA COSTA ECUATORIANA, CON EL ESTÁNDAR IEEE 802.22 EN NS-2

Abstract

This paper analyzed the standard IEEE 802.22 with a focus on the benefits and advantages, as well as perform the implementation of a simulated network WRAN type, designed for the rural areas of the Ecuadorian coast, with their respective environment conditions in the simulation tool NS-2.Also been verified with the NS-2 tool the reuse of frequencies that allows this protocol, which is based on the method of cognitive radio. For the pilot deployment was chosen the rural parish Roberto Astudillo of canton Milagro. This zone has been characterized by being marginalized by the various providers of existing network services; For this reason I focus on design and simulate the feasible communication network in several scenarios testing its functionality, in an attempt to provide a wireless network service required by the educational institutes in this rural area of the Ecuadorian coast, pretending to improve the resources of education.
