Abstract

The June 1, 2013 the Provincial Government of Guayas opened the Equine Center in order to help improve the quality of life of children and adults with physical, intellectual or hearing disabilities; this center was quickly welcomed and soon came to serve more than 500 patients. Although the center has top quality facilities and qualified personnel to satisfy the demand, they did not have a software tool to assist in the control of internal processes. Faced with this problem the Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral -ESPOL- through the Linking Unit with the society, is interested by the need presented at the Center of Equine and approves the SAPCE project, which controls the process that a patient should take inside the center. It also facilitates the management of patient information. Therefore, accelerating the evaluation and measurement process of patient results. It also allows managers to evaluate the management of the center through statistical reports.
