Diseño y creación de un cubo de información para analizar el impacto cuando una red de telefonía deja de funcionar

Abstract

For a mobile operator every second its network is not in service represents a financial loss due to the charges that cannot be billed to customers. More over, the impact is even greater from the side of the customers which might result in sues and fines for the suspension of the service the operator offers. This project was created in response to the need for mobile phone companies to immediately obtain information for economic analysis when partial or total cellular network failures occur. Identifying these incident(s) is a crucial step to take actions to prevent, correct and even avoid such failures. The project objective is to design, create and implement an information cube with Oracle (Oracle Warehouse Builder) technology to identify the impact that occurs when a cell phone network goes down. With the data processed in such cube we can obtain approximate values that show what the company did not receive by making a comparison between the time the network was disabled and a similar time where the network had been functioning properly
