Diseño estructural de una UPC en Tenguel: Edificio de 2 niveles para personal policial.

Abstract

The objective of this integrative project is to structurally design a two-story residential block that provides lodging, comfort, and safety to the cadets of the National Police in Guayas, Tenguel parish. This initiative arises from the lack of adequate infrastructure in various rural areas, compounded by the uncontrolled rise in crime, which negatively impacts the professional development of officers and jeopardizes their physical integrity. The project involved geotechnical studies, the design and analysis of reinforced concrete structural systems, and the respective budget, all while adhering to quality standards set by regulations to ensure safe building. Based on the determined results, the building was designed to be earthquake-resistant and ergonomic, thereby enhancing police functionality, living conditions, and the ability to respond rapidly to emergency situations. In conclusion, the design and construction of this residential block is essential in combating crime and organized crime in Zone 8 of the country, while also safeguarding the cadets and aligning with both the SDGs and the objectives of the National Police of Ecuador.
