| Resumen : | CONDITION FOR PUBLICATION OF PROJECT. Population growth in El Triunfo has generated the need for safe, functional, and resilient buildings that contribute to commercial and residential development. This project aims to provide the structural design of a five-story office and apartment building in the canton. This thesis summarizes the structural design process, considering the foundation and earthquakeresistant criteria to ensure the building's stability. The proposal aims to contribute to the sustainable urban development of the local community. To develop the designs, soil studies and geotechnical laboratory tests were conducted to characterize the terrain and define an appropriate foundation. The structural system selected, based on an evaluation of criteria, was reinforced concrete moment frames. Calculations and verifications were performed using current NEC-SE-HM and ACI 318S-14 standards. Ultimately, designs were obtained that meet national and international safety and quality standards, consolidating a reliable structure that meets technical requirements and contributes to the orderly growth of the El Triunfo canton. | Descripción : | CONDICIONAIENTO DE PUBLICACION DE PROYECTO. El crecimiento poblacional en El Triunfo ha generado la necesidad de edificaciones seguras, funcionales y resilientes que contribuyan al desarrollo comercial y habitacional. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo el diseño estructural de un edificio de cinco plantas destinado a oficinas y departamentos en dicho cantón. La presente tesis recopila el proceso de diseño estructural, considerando la cimentación y los criterios sismorresistentes que garanticen la estabilidad del edificio. La propuesta se orienta a aportar al desarrollo urbano sostenible de la comunidad local. Para el desarrollo de los diseños se realizaron estudios de suelo y ensayos de laboratorio geotécnicos que permitieron caracterizar el terreno y definir una cimentación adecuada. El sistema estructural seleccionado, mediante una evaluación de criterios, fue el de pórticos resistentes a momentos en hormigón armado. Los cálculos y verificaciones se efectuaron aplicando las normativas vigentes NEC-SE-HM y ACI 318S-14. Finalmente, se obtuvieron diseños que cumplen con los estándares nacionales e internacionales de seguridad y calidad, consolidando una estructura confiable que responde a las exigencias técnicas y aporta al crecimiento ordenado del cantón El Triunfo. |
